There are hundreds of True Crime Podcasts out there and as a fan and a creator, I cant get enough. But one of the things I get asked a lot is “Aside form your own show, what True Crime Podcasts are you listening to?” and I thought that it would be best to start a running list of what shows I’m enjoying the most each month. Plus, I am a firm believer in creators helping creators and this is my way of giving back to those I admire. So here is the list of my favorite True Crime Podcasts for May of 2021.

Now this is aside from my own show, Okie Investigations. (Shameless Plug). If you haven’t given it a listen, then you should! I would be happy to hear what you think of my show, I take constructive criticism well and its actually something that I’ve used to better improve my show over the last year. Everything I do for the show, I do it myself. I do all the research, writing, recording and editing myself so that I’m not occurring extra expenses. My thought process on this is to save a little so that we have the bare minimum advertisements on the show. (You may also note that this blog is 100% add free, the proceeds of the podcast funded this website for the next year 100% and I do not have to run any ads on here because of it!!!)

My go to podcast has been Serial Napper for awhile now. Nikki is a great storyteller and you can tell she really does her research on what she is presenting. I like the length of the episodes and how they are formatted. I have been a subscriber of Serial Napper for quite a long time and never miss an episode. Also, the show has a great Facebook page packed with info about the show and

Serial Napper

The next podcast I would defiantly recommend is Down the Hill: The Delphi Murders. It’s not a weekly podcast, its more of a limited series but is updated here and there as time goes on. It is really well done and is such a moving and powerful story that surrounds these two girls and their murder. Listening to this podcast has was what got me interested in doing my own True Crime podcast.

Down the Hill: The Delphi Murders

About

Abby and Libby – 2 young girls murdered. Investigators are searching for the killer using their biggest clue: a recording of his voice from one of the victims’ phones ordering the girls Down the Hill. Almost three years later, it’s a mystery that still haunts the small town of Delphi, Indiana while police say the killer may walk among them.

So this last one is my go to for when I am needing something playing… but don’t want to invest a lot into it. Dateline has been going on forever and they have been putting a ton of their episodes on podcast. I absolutely love it and the people behind Dateline has been doing some really cool special podcasts so defiantly check them out.
